Default how do these bans work again

finally, its my turn in the lottery; i got whacked by the code=45 (ie. permaban) without any idea why. i submitted a ticket to playNC's support, but how long does it usually take them to process these things? (im sure some of you have experience with the system)

well, if the worst comes, time to look for a new game (cant say i regret much after 3 years play)

Never been banned, but I have experience with support. Expect an auto-response within 24 hours(usually much less), and a human reply within 36(again, probably sooner).

You get banned, you cry, you whine on forums, people flame you, mod tells you to send a support ticket, Anet either says it was a mistake or too freaking bad.

been ban from other games it is usually 24hrs for a automated mail to be sent saying they have receive the mail and will email back..

after that you should get an email from a person stating what happen...

not sure if this applies for GW but most games are like this...

Given how mature you're acting about the situation, and that you say you did nothing wrong, I wouldn't fret. I mean check out previous threads like this, people haze ANet completely.

At the very most expect a response in one-two days. Unban at the very most at three.

Some of the greatest criminals can be as nice as the next guy when the purpose serves them. Just because he says or acts like he's innocent doesn't mean he is. I am always suspicious of those that act innocent. We must only look at the "facts" in a case like this. Therefore he did SOMETHING to get banned, whether directly or indirectly or Anet wouldn't have banned his account and in an online world you are guilty until YOU prove yourself innocent. You people should know those rules by now.

Let me guess, you were found reading "Lady Chatterley's Lover" while playing in Tahnnakai Temple, right?

I've had a guildie that was wrongly banned (they thought he was an armbrace duper, they got their logs wrong and banned the wrong person).

Anywho he went through support and the ban was lifted from start to finish in about a week.

I'd imagine its the average timescale.

Good luck getting it back.

Edit: If of course you are innocent ^^

If you got wrongly banned you'll get your account back most likely. PM Gaile too it might help. Also give it 24 hours, depending on when you put in the ticket. IT's Friday today so they'll be working so you should get an answer later on today in the afternoon sometime most likely. No worries man. Don't worry I won't be like some of the tards on here and accuse you of being guilty.

Red Sonja - Anet's ban stick does sometimes ricochet off innocent players, it has happened more than once. We, here on the forums will never get to "look at the facts" of a case. I find you answer a rather harsh reflection of your suspicion of everyone in general.

Lazuli - Provide all the information that support requests, be polite and patient, and it will sort itself out. The time frame also depends on the fact that today is friday, and the start of a festival weekend too, and you may have to wait until monday for any real resolution.

Make sure to keep your ticket open. They automatically close after 72 hours. If you are innocent be persistent but polite. Hell, if your not innocent be persistent and polite, you might just squeak through.

I had a guildie banned for hfff. His roommate played 3rd shift due to work and school. Needless to say they said he was doing what was beyond humanly possible for time played.

Once they found out it was 2 players they lifted the ban. However, they told him that he could get banned for sharing his account.

I was perma banned during the summer and did NOTHING wrong, I contacted support and received a response saying my account was banned in error. So don't go pointing fingers saying he MUST have done something. HE might not have and YES Anet DOES ban people for nothing. Not often but it does happen. Gaile has stated that it does happen. facts>fiction

I don't care what you find or what you think. You're probably one of the loser 117 that got banned awhile back and just saying anything to make Anet look bad. As I said before ONLINE you are GUILTY until YOU prove yourself innocent. That sticks and stands as FACT bucko.

Friday actually makes a legitimate point against you and you go off on a tangent about them being banned before? Yeah.

So Sonya. How guilty are you?

I've been banned four times. ANet is not perfect, they make mistakes.

I think twenty plus of my guild members have been banned wrongly (including me), with the situation being rectified immediately (within one to two days). It happens, although the most common reason for being banned is gold buying. I was banned for about four hours.
